Israel - Hamas: what next for the conflict?

On 7 October 2023, a Hamas offensive against Israel triggered a major humanitarian and geopolitical crisis. On 7 October 2023, Hamas launched a major offensive against Israel, killing more than 1,400 people, most of them civilians. The IDF, the Israeli army, immediately responded with a massive bombing campaign on the Gaza Strip, also causing the deaths of many civilians. The latest toll reportedly stands at more than 5,000 people. This figure should be treated with caution, as it comes from the Gaza branch of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, which is under Hamas control. The bombing will not settle this conflict and is only the first phase of the Israeli strategy...
